Disneyland (October 2009)

We recently took Paul to Disneyland just the three of us. We were there for 3 days which is the perfect amount of time for my feet! Anyways we had a great time below are some of the pictures.

Waiting in line for the Haunted mansion the first time.

All these are from the Pirate's Island which used to be Tom Sawyer's Island. Paul really enjoyed it, there are a ton of caves to run through and it was really easy to lose track of him. This is a kids paradise, he probably would have stayed over there all day had we let him. In the end though he wasn't listening so we had to leave, and didn't go back!

Paul actually took this picture. This was his second attempt the first he cut off Bert's head!

One of the many cave entrances

Paul's booty! Arr!

As if you didn't know, Dumbo!
It's a small world, and no the song wasn't stuck in my head the rest of the day!
Day 2 @ Disneyland
Finding Nemo is one of the newest rides and there is no Fast Pass available so we did that first thing on Friday. We waited in line for about 15 minutes compared to the average 45 minutes!
This would have been a really good picture if Paul's eyes were open!
Waiting in line for Alice in Wonderland, I think we only went on this the one time.

On top of clovers - Alice in Wonderland
For Halloween thru Christmas they decorate the Haunted Mansion themed as the Nightmare Before Christmas, with Jack Skeleton. This was Paul's second favorite ride. I think we went on this an equal number of times as Thunder Railroad.

Mickey's Toon Town. There isn't really much to do there, there are a couple of rides but mostly it is a large playground for the kids. Plus Mickey and Minnie are almost always at their house so you can get autographs and pictures. Since we did that last time, we were only there to play.

As you can see above we rented a scooter for Bert as he had just hurt it a week earlier so he couldn't walk or stand for long distances. This was really nice to use on the rides as it allows you to pretty much get right on the rides without waiting in line forever.

These pictures are from Roger Rabbit's Wild ride, he was trying to steer up until this point when there was a lot of noise then all he was doing was covering his ears.

This was just after we bought Paul Mickey ears. You can now design your own ears and that is what he did. He picked every part out himself, and he got a TON of compliments on it. I don't know what his fascination is with gold but that is what he wanted. Pretty cute!
These are rides in the Bugs Life area of California adventure, he really likes them. The bumper cars go like 2 mph I mean like snail speed he enjoys it anyways.
We tried something new this year, that I have never done before. We took Paul to Mickey's Trick or Treat party. You can dress up, and you go around the park getting candy. The rides are also open at this time. Since it is a special engagement, meaning you have to buy an additional ticket on top of the daily there aren't as many people. Mostly we were able to walk onto the rides. I totally recommend this for anyone in the future!

Last Day @ Disneyland!
This is while waiting in line for Peter Pan's Flight, I think this is one of the best pictures with him and his ears!
Thunder Railroad Paul's FAVORITE ride. Probably because it is a train roller coaster! I think we went on this ride at least 7 times within the 3 days we were there!

Waiting in line for Mr. Toad's wild ride. His ears were cold so he wanted to put his hood up and I put the hat on top, I thought it looked cute.

We had a great time and will probably make this an annual trip!
